Terms of Service

Agreement

By accessing or using Promptice, you agree to these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree, do not use the platform. We may update these Terms from time to time; continued use after changes are posted means you accept the revised Terms.

Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old and able to form a binding contract to use Promptice. If you use the service on behalf of an organization, you represent that you have authority to bind that organization to these Terms.

Your account

• You are responsible for activity that occurs under your account.
• You must provide accurate profile information and keep credentials secure.
• You may not share accounts, impersonate others, or misrepresent your affiliation.
• We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms or pose a security risk.

Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• Use Promptice for unlawful, harmful, or abusive purposes.
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to systems, data, or other users' accounts.
• Interfere with platform operation, including scraping, spamming, or overloading infrastructure.
• Upload malware or exploit problem workspaces to attack third parties.
• Cheat on challenges, manipulate leaderboards, or misrepresent submission results.
• Reverse engineer, copy, or resell the platform except as permitted by applicable open-source licenses in the repository.

Content and submissions

Problem statements, starter code, test data, and platform materials are provided for practice and evaluation. You retain ownership of code you write, but grant Promptice a license to store, display, execute, and analyze submissions for grading, leaderboard display, debugging, and product improvement.

Public profiles and leaderboard entries may be visible to other users. Do not submit content you do not have rights to use or that contains secrets, credentials, or personal data belonging to others.

AI-assisted features

Promptice may integrate third-party AI models and harnesses. Output from AI tools may be inaccurate or incomplete. You are responsible for reviewing generated code before submission. Usage may incur token or compute costs tracked on the platform; you are responsible for understanding those metrics when using paid or rate-limited providers.

Disclaimers

Promptice is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not guarantee uninterrupted service, accurate scoring, or availability of any particular problem or feature.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Promptice and its contributors will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for loss of profits, data, or goodwill, arising from your use of the service. Our total liability for any claim relating to the service is limited to the greater of USD $100 or the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim, if any.

Termination

You may stop using Promptice at any time. We may suspend or terminate access if you violate these Terms or if we discontinue the service. Provisions that by their nature should survive termination will remain in effect.
